CAMERON NAHF MEMORIAL FUND
On May 23, 2018, our lives were forever changed. Our sons Cameron (18) and Caden (16) were in a car accident less than a mile from their high school, only three days before Cameron was set to graduate. To our greatest devastation, Cameron was called home to heaven. Caden was taken via Flight for Life to Children's Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. He survived with a few layers of stitches to his head, full body bruising, and a severe concussion. One tragedy. One miracle.
We continue to learn and heal through this tragedy. So much love we hold for our sweet son and brother that we crave to give him directly. And so many new and old relationships with family and friends have created a foundation of love and hope for our much needed, worn hearts. We are grateful to each of you who has stayed in this journey with us. We hope our gratitude is known and we will continue to seek ways to show you how much your friendship and support mean to us.
We aim to honor our beloved son by spreading his acts of kindness and joy through a scholarship and memorial fund at his high school, Shoreland Lutheran High School, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The annual scholarship will aim to inspire kindness, empathy, love, and respect across the student body. It will seek out examples of individuals who aren’t afraid to talk to the new kid, or who go above and beyond to make a positive impression on someone else. The memorial fund will target larger scale projects and purchases to support the school's mission and align to Cameron's passions (God, family, friendships, baseball, football) where possible.
We all deserve a Cameron in our life, and our family was blessed to have one for 18 years and 15 days.
